Alcatraz Blog is owned and operated by Growth Goal Development, whose principal place of business is located at 407 E Ayre St #1292, Wilmington, DE 19804 (hereinafter, together with its affiliates, the “Company”).

This Privacy Policy sets forth, in a manner intended to be both comprehensive and comprehensible, the categories of personal information that the Company may collect, use, or otherwise process in connection with a visitor’s access to or interaction with the Site, the Application, or any of the Services offered thereby. The Company regards the protection of personal information as a matter of considerable importance and undertakes to safeguard such information in accordance with the practices described herein. Prospective and current users of the Site are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy in its entirety in order to fully understand the privacy practices maintained by Alcatraz Blog.

Each User is urged to read this Privacy Policy with care. By accessing the Site and the Application and by making use of the Services, each User acknowledges and agrees that any information pertaining to that User, including personal information, shall be collected, used, and otherwise handled in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

Scope of Applicability; Third-Party Sites and Services

This Privacy Policy applies solely and exclusively to the website located at alcatrazblog.com and shall not be construed to extend beyond the content and operations of that site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and the Company shall bear no responsibility for, any third party or any website to which alcatrazblog.com may link, notwithstanding the presence of such links on the Site. The scope of this Privacy Policy is confined to the collection, processing, and storage of personal information submitted to or gathered through this website; it shall not be read to govern the collection, processing, or storage practices of any third party.

The Company may also receive information that third parties have derived from governmental entities that publicly post information concerning a User.   • Children’s Information: the Company does not knowingly collect information from any individual under thirteen (13) years of age, provided that, in the event the Company obtains actual knowledge that Personal Information concerning a person under thirteen (13) years of age has been collected, such information shall be deleted from the Company’s database without delay.

Manner in Which Information Is Used

The information gathered by the Company is used for a variety of purposes, including, without limitation, to:

  • operate, provide, and maintain the Site;
  • improve, personalize, and expand upon the Site;
  • fulfill any purpose for which a User has furnished such information;

Alcatraz Blog undertakes to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7704) and all regulations promulgated thereunder. Should a User wish to prevent the Company from sharing that User’s Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) with third parties for purposes of marketing their respective products or services, such User may submit a request in the manner described below.

Targeted Advertising and Analytics Services

Third-party advertising and analytics providers may, on behalf of the Company, place advertisements on other websites, perform tracking and reporting functions with respect to such sites and the Company’s advertisements, and place third-party advertisements upon the Site. Such third parties may collect information concerning the websites a User has viewed and the advertisements with which that User has interacted, together with additional information such as IP address, the date and time of interaction, the User’s internet service provider, and the browser employed to access the Site. (b) A verifiable consumer request seeking the specific personal information collected concerning that consumer may be submitted by emailing privacy@alcatrazblog.com with “CCPA Request” appearing in the subject line.

(c) Upon receipt of a verifiable consumer request, the CCPA requires the Company to confirm that the requesting party is the same consumer concerning whom information is maintained within the Company’s systems. The Company may, in furtherance of such verification, require the requesting party to click a link transmitted to the email address on file, or to respond to an email sent for that purpose.

(d) Personal information has been collected from the following categories of sources:

  • information collected, whether directly or indirectly, from a User’s activity on the Platform and from that User’s interactions or communications with the Company, including Personal Information furnished in connection with obtaining a product or service offered by the Company or by one of its network providers or advertisers;
  • information furnished by a User in connection with promotions or contests sponsored by the Company or its clients, including networks and advertisers;
  • information furnished through surveys, customer service correspondence, and general feedback;
  • information furnished by analytics companies regarding demographic characteristics, such as gender or zip code, that is not linked to a User’s Personal Information, together with information obtained from other online or offline sources, including third parties through whom the Company validates self-reported consumer information or verifies information already in its possession, all of which assists the Company in updating, expanding, and analyzing its records and in providing products and services likely to be of interest; and

(e) Personal information is disclosed or shared for the following purposes:

  • to furnish information, products, or services requested by a User, or to resolve consumer concerns or opt-out requests;

  • for such other purposes as are described at the time Personal Information is collected or as otherwise contemplated by the CCPA.

(f) Personal Information is disclosed to the Company’s service providers as well as to the following categories of third parties:

  • affiliated entities of the Company;
  • data aggregators;
  • advertisers;
  • advertising networks; and
  • third parties involved in connection with products or services provided by the Company and/or such third parties to a User.

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information

(a) A consumer possesses the right to request deletion of Personal Information collected or maintained by the Company within the preceding twelve (12) months.

(b) A verifiable consumer request for deletion may be submitted by email to privacy@alcatrazblog.com with “CCPA Request” appearing in the subject line.

(c) Upon receipt and confirmation of a verifiable consumer request, the Company will disclose the categories of Personal Information collected concerning the requesting consumer and the categories of sources from which such Personal Information was derived.

(d) This Privacy Policy discloses the Company’s business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling such Personal Information, together with the categories of third parties with whom such Personal Information has been shared.

Right to Opt Out of the Sale of Personal Information

A consumer has the right to direct the Company to cease any sale of that consumer’s Personal Information. In the event a consumer is requesting a product or service, this right shall be deemed subject to an exemption reasonably necessary to process such request; provided, however, that the consumer nonetheless retains the right to require the cessation of all further sale of Personal Information thereafter.

Right to Non-Discrimination in the Exercise of Privacy Rights

A consumer has the right not to be subjected to discriminatory treatment by the Company as a consequence of exercising the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA. Accordingly, the Company shall not deny goods or services to such consumer, charge different prices or rates for goods or services, deny discounts or other benefits, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services, nor suggest that any of the foregoing consequences will result from the exercise of such rights.

Authorized Agents

A verifiable consumer request relating to Personal Information may be submitted only by the consumer concerned or by a person registered with the California Secretary of State and authorized by that consumer to act on the consumer’s behalf.

Limitations Applicable to Requests

A consumer may submit a verifiable consumer request for access no more than twice within any twelve (12) month period. Such request must (a) furnish sufficient information to permit the Company reasonably to verify that the requesting party is the consumer about whom Personal Information was collected, or that party’s authorized agent, and (b) describe the request with sufficient particularity to enable the Company to understand, evaluate, and respond to it appropriately. The CCPA does not permit the Company to furnish Personal Information where the Company is unable to verify the identity or authority of the requesting party or to confirm that the Personal Information pertains to that party. Submission of a verifiable consumer request shall not require the creation of an account with the Company, and any Personal Information submitted in connection with such a request shall be used solely to verify the identity or authority of the requesting party.

Response Time and Format

The Company endeavors to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of receipt thereof; provided that, in the event additional time (not to exceed ninety (90) days in total) is required, the Company shall notify the requesting party in writing, by email, of the reason for and duration of such extension. Responses will be delivered in writing by email. Any disclosures furnished shall pertain solely to the twelve (12) month period preceding receipt of the verifiable consumer request, and the response shall set forth the reasons the Company is unable to comply with the request, if applicable. Responses shall be provided in a format that is readily usable and that permits the requesting party to transmit the information from one entity to another without undue difficulty.

Amendments to This California Resident Privacy Notice

The Company reserves the right to amend this notice in its discretion and at any time, and any such amendment shall govern on a prospective basis from the date of posting. No notice beyond an updated posting to this page shall be furnished to Users, who are accordingly encouraged to review this notice upon each visit to or use of the Platform.

Notice to Users Located Outside the United States

The Platform is published within, and intended solely for use by residents of, the United States. Although the Company endeavors to protect the personally identifiable information of all Platform users and to comply with local data protection and consumer rights laws to the extent applicable, the Platform is nonetheless directed at, and the Company’s policies are designed to comply with the laws applicable to, United States citizens. Privacy of Children

Alcatraz Blog is committed to protecting the privacy of children under the age of thirteen (13) years. Alcatraz Blog does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of thirteen (13) and will remove any personal information concerning a child under thirteen (13) upon becoming aware that such information has been collected.

Amendments to This Privacy Policy

Alcatraz Blog reserves the right to amend or update this Privacy Policy at any time and without advance notice, provided that any such updated policy shall become effective as of its stated “effective date.” Users are encouraged periodically to review this Privacy Policy in order to remain apprised of the manner in which Alcatraz Blog may collect, use, and share personal information.

Security of Information

The Company regards the security of information it collects and maintains as a matter of considerable importance and employs reasonable technical, physical, and administrative safeguards designed to secure such information; provided, however, that the Company cannot guarantee that such measures will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose information.
